The work-based learning program provides students with an opportunity to learn skills in a variety of businesses within the community. These learning opportunities help the student to see the connection between school-based activities and the work site. The students benefit by receiving relevant training in job skills and learning appropriate social skills related to the world of work. At the same time, they are learning how to become more active, productive members in their community while building relationships with potential employers.
