The Short Term Program offers a setting in which students attend Kentucky School for the Blind for a short period of time but remain enrolled in their home district. Instruction is focused on the Expanded Core Curriculum for the Visually Impaired and supports the Core Content. This program is a “revolving door” through which visually impaired students can “walk in”, gain some skills, and “walk back out” to their home schools repeatedly throughout their school careers. They leave with new and enhanced skills, allowing for greater success in life.
