The Kentucky School for the Blind is accepting nominations for the 2017 Paul J. Langan Distinguished Service Award, which is given to a Kentucky resident or former Kentuckian who displays qualities that have had a strong, positive influence on KSB and on the lives of persons who are blind or visually impaired.
The award, established in 1992, honors Langan, who was superintendent of KSB from 1945-56 and whose innovative approach to education established the foundation for the continuing improvement of education of the blind and visually impaired students at KSB. The award will be presented on Tuesday evening, May 9 during KSB’s 175th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Founder’s Day Program.
